ABOUT HUDSONHudson, Ohio is a city rich in history and tradition. Its old world charm has been carefully blended with the modern needs of the community. Hudson’s Historic Core has earned its place on the National Register of Historic Places for its amazing architecture and also for the distinct moments marked in history, which include being a vital link in the Underground Railroad and home to famous abolitionist John Brown.

Named after founder David Hudson, the city is home to many art, music, and food & wine events throughout the year. More than 1,100 acres of park land provide ample hiking, biking, fishing, golf, children’s play areas and picnic facilities. The notable historic marker, the Clocktower, located on the north side of the Village Green, serves as a central meeting point and focus for many of the special events in Hudson.

With more than 100 independently owned, regional and national chain restaurants and retail shops, Hudson is the perfect place for shopping, dining and playing. Savor the charm of downtown Hudson as you stroll through the relaxed setting of our historic district and enjoy all Hudson has to offer.

From summer concerts on the green, upscale flea markets, monthly Art Hops, old-fashioned ice cream socials, home and garden tours to amazing food and wine events, Hudson offers something for everyone, and you can extend your stay with a night at one of our charming bed and breakfast inns. We invite you to visit our vibrant community, enjoy our unique restaurants and shops, and bask in the arts and culture that fill Hudson’s calendar of events.

Destination Hudson. Spend the afternoon, the day, a weekend or more!

A trip to Hudson would not be complete with a stop at the Visitor Center located at 27 East Main Street (Just across the Village Green from Hudson’s Restaurant). The Visitor Center is staffed and open for purchases of Hudson-related merchandise every day from noon to 4:00 p.m. and during special events. Complimentary maps, walking tour information, business and event information are available in the vestibule. Destination Hudson is a group of volunteers working to make Hudson a top-of-mind destination for visitors while educating residents and visitors alike on our historic and architectural heritage.
