Dr. James D. Pike, D.O.(Board Certified Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Critical Care)

Dr. James D. Pike is Board Certified in both pulmonary and critical care medicine.

He completed his subspecialty training in both pulmonary and critical care at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC from 1988 to 1991. He then served as an attending staff at Madigan Army Medical Center from 1991 to 1994 holding the rank of Major in the Medical Corps. He then returned to his hometown of Indianapolis in 1994.

Dr. Pike maintained a pulmonary practice on the Westview Hospital campus until 2005, when he relocated to the northwest side of Indianapolis. He continues to see new patient consultations and a follow-up patients at our main office located immediately west of the Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital.

Nelligan,D.O.(Board Certified Family Medicine) Luke Nelligan D.O. graduated from

Ursinus College in 1985 with a B.S. in Biology. After teaching science in prep school and Villanova University, as a graduate student, Dr. Nelligan attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine from 1987 to 1991. He interned at the Hospital of PCOM, where he was a chief intern. He completed his residency at Graduate City Avenue Hospital, and became Board Certified in 1994.

Brooke Kline, PA-C Brooke received a bachelor’s degree of science in

health services at Butler University. She is a board certified Physician Assistant through the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the IAPA and AAPA.

Brooke was a practicing physicians assistant in orthopeadic surgery with Orthopaedics Indianapolis and the Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital for five years. She joined Pike Medical Consultants in December of 2008. She enjoys all aspects of perioperative and hospitalist care and has experienced firsthand what Pike medical brings to the surgeons and patients of the Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital.

Susan attended Medical College of Georgia and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in the physician assistant program. She also attended Easter Illinois University for pre-med studies. Susan has worked in family practice for 12 years and has worked with Dr. James D. Pike as a hospitalist in the long term acute care setting including Kindred, Select, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton hospitals. She also worked with Dr. Pike at St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel and Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She has been in primary care her entire medical career, and enjoys seeing patients of all ages.

JohnAllen Schmitt, FNP-C

JohnAllen Schmitt, F.N.P., RN, MSN, BSN, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. JohnAllen holds a special interest in emergency, urgent care, and wellness health.

JohnAllen is a clinical instructor in the nurse practitioner program at Ball State University and serves as a clinical preceptor for Indiana University nurse practitioner students. After completing his education and becoming certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, JohnAllen honed his skills of practice at Wishard Urgent Care Center and emergency room and also practiced in a retail health clinic.

His extensive experience in emergency and urgent care make him uniquely qualified to provide the highest quality of care for our patients. In his free time, JohnAllen enjoys being a father and spending time with family.
