School Use PolicyThe Edson Community Services Departmenthas a reciprocal use agreement with the EdsonPublic and Separate School Boards. Inexchange for the school’s use of Town facilities,Community Services programs andcommunity users are allowed free access to allPublic and Separate Schools. We have accessto school gyms, classrooms and some libraries(approval of use is at the discretion of theschool principal). However, school usereceives priority for all bookings, so if theschool has an event come up, nonschoolusers will be notified and their bookings maybe cancelled. Belly DanceBelly Dance is suitable for all ages and fitness levelsand a marvelous, safe and fun way to exercise. Noprior dance experience is necessary and itdoes not require above average flexibility. It's abeautiful and ancient form of dance that isenjoyed worldwide. There are many styles ofBelly Dance but the style mostly taught will bethe more modern form, developed in the1930's in Cairo, Egypt. This is the style primarilyperformed in restaurants.The Level I beginner course will include thebasic steps for Belly Dance, and a short routinewill be taught throughout the course.The Level II course will include more use ofprops such as veil (props will be provided),more advanced steps, and a routine will betaught throughout the course.Ages 13 and up, Please Dress appropriately:leggings or comfortable pants with somestretch, Tshirt or crop top, dance slippers,bare feet or socks. Mom and Baby YogaA wonderful way to get to know your baby, ina noncompetitive atmosphere, throughinteracting, communicating, playing, touchingand having fun.
