The main goal of this exhibition is to promote a more positive image of the Republic of Kosovo and to

attract the attention of the local public and internationals accredited in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

This cultural activity targeted three key types of guests: the diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom

of the Netherlands and representatives of international organizations present in this state; institutional

officials from the receiving state and other public figures with influence in Dutch society and institutions;

as well as ordinary local and international members of the public, considering the event’s strategic

location to which many people gravitate.

The exhibition opening was on Friday evening, and it will remain open to the public until 12 November,

2011.

Participating in the official opening ceremony were the Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport,

Hajdin Abazi and the Political Advisor of the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Haqif Mulliqi. Also

present were dozens of Ambassadors accredited in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, including countries

which have not recognized the independence of our state; the President of the International Criminal

Tribunal; senior representatives of the Foreign Ministry of the Netherlands; deputies in the Netherlands

Parliament and other guests.

During his visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Mr.

Abazi held a courtesy meeting with his counterpart from the respective ministry in The Kingdom of the

Netherlands, Marjola Jansen. They discussed ways of deepening bilateral cooperation between the two

countries, especially with regard to cultural heritage, and respectively between the Institute for the

Protection of Monuments in Kosovo and that of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
