The Federal Government (BATF) has ruled the the 12 gange Street Sweeper Shotgun is a "NON-SPORTING" firearm. With the bore

of this shotgun being over 1/2 inch (.50 caliber) in diameter. It is now re-classified as a "destructive device". Due to this

re-classification, all Street Sweeper Shotguns are now NFA type weapons and are subject to licensing, taxation, and control under

NFA Rules. If you currently own a Street Sweeper Shotgun, the BATF will let you register and keep your shotgun with no tax

assessment. However, if you live in a state that does not permit private ownership of "destructive devices", you will have to surrender

ownership of your shotgun.
