DISS Overview

When Can/Should I Get a DISS Account?

• Now!!!• As of November 26, 2018, VROC is provisioning the initial user(s) for any facilities

that has not yet been provisioned in DISS• For the most up to date provisioning instructions, and additional guidance/tips for

when you log in, please visit the DSS website at either www.dss.mil or https://www.dss.mil/ma/tw/dvd/vroc/diss_news/

What Should I Be Using DISS for Currently?

• SF-312 Submission• Customer Service Request (the RRU replacement) Submission• Verifying your hierarchy and subject list are accurate before the Phase 2

What is the Defense Information System for Security (DISS)?

• DISS is a family-of-systems solution that includes the Joint Verification System (JVS), the Case Adjudication Tracking System (CATS), an appeals module (for DOHA and PSABs), a Reporting module, and the Service Desk. Together, these systems will ultimately replace the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and manage the adjudication process for security clearances, suitability determinations, and credentialing determinations for all DoD employees, military personnel, civilians and contractors.

• In broad terms:• JPAS = JCAVS + JAMS• DISS = JVS + CATS
