Mild Steel Distribution Boards

Fully welded gutter with machine injected polyurethane gasket provide excellent sealing to keep dust and water out. The seal has been tested for use as a smoke seal.

Large internal space uncluttered by unnecessary brackets or supports allows lots of wiring room and space for cable ducts.

Fully sized gland plates top and bottom for easy cable entry and connection.

Hinged escutcheon with quarter turn locks for quick and safe access.

EVOLUTIONAn essential part of any power supply system, particularly in large commercial and industrial buildings, distribution boards provide a way of safely mounting and connecting of the protective devices for the final sub-circuits of the installation. The Evolution range of distribution boards has been designed to be simple and practical in order to benefit all people involved in the installation - the designers who specify it, the contractors that install it and the end clients that use it.

Removable mouting plate allows equipment to be fitted outside of the board where it is easy to work on, while the shell can be mounted to the wall separately.

Split earth and neutral bars make these connections closer to the matching circuit breakers.The earth and neutral cables don’t have to be run all over the board, and it greatly simplifies connections for outgoing circuits.

RCD test switches now required by large mine operators are a standard accessory.

Wide choice of locking options to meet the specific requirements of the installation site.

Flexible chassis mounting system allows wide choice of poles including split for separate light and power metering.

Prewired circuits for external lighting control and emergency lighting simplifies ordering a fully functional solution.

The number of outgoing circuits determines the number of poles. Standard or RCD protected single phase circuits will need 1 pole each. Three phase circuits will need 3 poles each for standard circuits or 5 - 6 poles each for RCD protected circuits. Add up the number of required poles, including spare poles for future expansion, and round up to the nearest whole dozen to determine the size of the board. All Evolution ranges are available in sizes from 12 - 96 poles.

How many circuits are there?←

How would the board be isolated if an electrical contractor needed to modify it, such as adding a circuit? If the board can be isolated at a nearby location like a main board, then a main switch may not be required. Whether a main switch is required may also be determined by the state orsupply authority wiring rules. All Evolution ranges are available as standard with no main switch, a 250A switch disconnector, or a moulded case circuit breaker. Other options are available.

The installation position of a distribution board will determine what level of dust and waterproofing is required, as well as what material is it is made from and if any mounting accessories are required.
