Declan WallaceBSc (Hons), GDip

Declan has over 13 years post graduateexperience within the built environment(construction industry). He has a BSc (Hons)degree in Building Technology & ProjectManagement and a Post GraduateDiploma in Quality Management &Business Strategy.

Declan has worked in a number of keyroles in his professional career. Certification& Inspection Officer with the IrishAgrément Board (certification ofinnovative construction products) wherehe travelled the world assessing innovativebuilding products fit for their intendeduse in Ireland. He specialised in buildingsystems and external cladding systems.

Declan then joined Fusion Building Systemsas their Development Manger in 2003. Hewas responsible for the productdevelopment of their LGS (LIGHT GAUGESTEEL) Building System and developingnew markets for their product.

In 2007 Declan was appointed TechnicalDirector of the Fleming Group, parentcompany of Fusion Building Systems.Declan’s role was to form a departmentwithin the group to focus solely on productdevelopment and technical support tothree main companies; Fusion BuildingSystems, Vision Modular Structures andFleming Construction UK & Ireland.

Declan is recognised as one of the leadingBuilding Technologists in Ireland. He isregularly invited to give technical talks atconstruction conferences across Europeand is a member of several industry andGovernment working groups in bothEngland and Ireland.

Kelvin LysaghtBE (Hons), CEng, MIStructE

Kelvin has worked for ConsultingEngineers and in the Off-siteManufacturing Industry for over20 years. He is experienced in allaspects of construction andstructural design of buildings aswell as design for fire, thermal,acoustics and building physics.Kelvin has worked in the field ofoff-site construction for over 9years, specialising in LGS panellisedand Steel Frame modular systems,manufactured in a factoryenvironment. He is recognised asone of the leading StructuralEngineers in light steel framedesign in Ireland and is a memberof an SCI working group in the UKon the Eurocode for cold formedsteel design. He is also a specialistin thermal bridging and 3Dthermal modelling.

Kelvin has a B.E. (Hons) in CivilEngineering from the Universityof Canterbury in New Zealand hebecame a UK Chartered Engineerin 2000 having spent 5 yearsworking in the UK for ConsultingEngineers on marine and buildingprojects. Kelvin moved to Irelandfrom the UK in 1998 and from2001 worked for Fusion BuildingSystems as their Principal StructuralEngineer, before moving into afull-time R&D role in 2006.

Kelvin has been jointly responsiblefor the certification, developmentand testing of the Fusion andVision systems since theirinception, together with his fellowEvolusion director Declan Wallace.

Andrew ShepherdBSc, MSc, PhD, MEI

Andrew has worked in the energyand built environment sectors since1992 and is experienced in energyconsulting for the public, domesticand industrial sectors, as well ashaving worked in the academicsectors in the UK, Japan andIreland.

Previous projects undertakeninclude energy surveys, energyaudits, technical research, productdevelopment of energy efficientHVAC equipment, projectmanagement of European fundedenergy projects, renewable energymarket development, renewablesfeasibility, monitoring andtargeting programmes, EU ETSverification, carbon foot printing,energy rating, dynamic thermalmodelling, training programmesand software development.

Academic track record includes aBSc in Building Surveying and anMSc in "Energy and the BuiltEnvironment". Andrew completeda PhD research programme withSatchwell Control Systems inbuilding controls and occupantcomfort. Previous employmentexperience includes S&P CoilProducts Ltd (ProductDevelopment Engineer), MouchelProperty Services (EnergyEngineer), Powergen Plc (EnergyEngineer) and Kitakyushu CityCouncil (Energy Policy). On movingto Ireland in 2002, Andrew workedas an energy engineer with theSWS Group in West Cork.

Evolusion was formed in 2010as a construction products andsystems innovation technologyconsultancy. Declan Wallaceand Kelvin Lysaght are co-founders and have workedtogether for seven years in theconstruction and energyindustry. They have gained veryspecialised skills outlined in this

brochure that they now offerto clients in Ireland, the UK andInternationally. Together theyhave been responsible forproduct development andcertification of world classbuilding systems such aspanellised light steel frame upto 7-storeys in height andstructural modular building

systems up to 25-storeys.Andrew Shepherd is also partof the Evolusion team and ishighly qualified andexperienced in the fields ofenergy management and thebuilt environment in the UKand Ireland.
