• MoU revised between UNICEF and WFP to tackle acute malnutrition together
Consultations on Acute Malnutrition
New Products
• CSB + the V&M premix has been enhanced with additional or elevated levels of micronutrients (vitamins B6, D, E and K, iron, iodine, calcium, potassium and phosphorus)
• CSB ++ improved MN profile, better protein quality by addition of milk powder, dehulled soya (less fibre), oil in product
• **Also improved WSB and development of RSB
• Studies undertaken to measure effectiveness, acceptability, shelf life
• Increasing use and local production of RUSFs, LNS and MNPs

• Nutrition programmes in 58 / 18 / 7 countries• Reached 9.1 million <5 beneficiaries in 2010• Increased use of new products significantly
