The intrigue will continue until the very last moment of the concert, when the duo will perform for the first time ever in Latvia the famous Turkish pianist and composer Fazil Say’s Sonata for cello and piano – Four Cities. She was not only a painter, but also an illustrator as well as a graphic and porcelain artist. In the 1920s she worked mainly in watercolor technique, but in the 1930s – pastel technique. In her work, Beļcova preferred the portrait genre, depicting loved ones, friends and acquaintances. In her paintings, the artist often chose motifs from the folklore of different nations or created geometric abstract com-positions, focusing on religious themes. Latvian National Museum of Art

The exhibi-tion will feature large-format tapestries (including Harmony, Riga, Germany), mixed artwork (Korrida, Lifetimes, Third Generation after the War, etc.), as well as ambitious and thoughtful textile ensembles (The Universe, Coffee Cantata, Travel Notes), created in the 1970s and 80s.
