Grand Launching ofVisit Malaysia 2020

31 Dec 2019 Dataran Merdeka (Merdeka Square), Kuala Lumpur

The biggest tourism event in the country kicks off in a glittering and colourful ceremony. As the country prepares for Visit Malaysia 2020, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture will launch the campaign in style at one of the country’s most significant locations, Merdeka Square. The programme will be in harmony with other national events, and the VIP for the occasion will be none other than Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, Malaysia’s Prime Minister. The transformed façade of Merdeka Square will be the main destination for the countdown as well as other activities in conjunction with the New Year’s eve. The venue will be abuzz with cultural activities, performances by artists, fireworks and an array of other pocket shows to make tourists feel welcomed and entertained. But wait, the merriment does not end there. There will be more celebrations on the following day at all 19 entry points in Malaysia. Don’t miss this grand moment!
