Chairperson’s Letter The Deaf Celebration Commitee’s mission is to educate individuals about the history of Deaf people in the United States and their pride in Deaf culture and the Deaf community. We want to provide an opportunity for Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing and organizations of, by and for Deaf individuals. We want a place for the Deaf Community to grow, strengthen, and renew. We are happy that all of you have joined us in making our day a success. It is our sincere hope that you will learn something, meet new people, and gather with good friends.
The Deaf Celebration 2016 Committee has been working hard for past year to work out every detail so everyone can enjoy today. We are pleased that our efforts have paid off. If you can, please take a moment during the day to thank the committee members.
If you would like to be involved in the Deaf Celebration Committee for next year, please check our website for upcoming meeting information.
Thanks again for your support and participation in Deaf Celebration 2016, celebrating our Deaf Heritage since 1992.
We hope that you enjoy your day!
Sincerely, Grant Laird Jr. Deaf Celebration 2016 Chairperson
