How Many Baptisms?

• Wrong question

• The sower is responsible only for planting the seed. Each hearer is responsible for the kind of soil they are. God makes the seed grow and produce fruit.

Page 11: EVANGELIZING THROUGH E-MAIL 25 Additional Teachers and additional Coordinator needed IMMEDIATELY.

How Many Baptisms?

• Mark 4: 26-29 He also said, "This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain - first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come."

Page 12: EVANGELIZING THROUGH E-MAIL 25 Additional Teachers and additional Coordinator needed IMMEDIATELY.

What kind of soil are WEI students?

• Most start out wanting to improve their English with the goal of passing the TOEFL exam.

– Students wanting to study in USA

– Professionals wanting to participate in conferences conducted in English

– A few are delighted with the Bible content; about the same number object to the Bible content

How does the web site attract students?

• The web site’s URL is www.weiady.org

• Topics are found on the Internet by programs classified as “search engines”

• Bob Patterson set up the web site so all search engines recommend the WEI web site first when the words, “English, free, TOEFL, exam,” are search parameters.

HOW TO BECOME AN E-MAIL TEACHER

• The web site, www.weiady.org, contains the form for applying to become a teacher.

• The requirements are the same as for WBS postal mail teaching plus– You must have a computer and e-mail access– English must be your native language– You must check your e-mail and respond to your

students every day.

Page 16: EVANGELIZING THROUGH E-MAIL 25 Additional Teachers and additional Coordinator needed IMMEDIATELY.

ADDITIONAL TEACHERS ARE NEEDED BUT

• Jesus said “Whoever puts his hand to the plow and looks back is not worthy of me.”

• If you are not willing to service your students every day, DO NOT SIGN UP.– Special arrangements are made for vacations,

illness, changes in your work load, etc. BUT YOUR STUDENTS MUST BE A TOP PRIORITY.

WHAT IS NEXT FOR INTERNET TEACHING

• We are adding sound to the web site so the students can hear the Bible lesson read to them in English through their computer.

• We need to improve tracking of students’ progress.

• Consider sponsoring “computer centers” to help missionaries attract people.

OUR WEAPONS HAVE DIVINE POWER

• 2COR 10: 3-5 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Page 27: EVANGELIZING THROUGH E-MAIL 25 Additional Teachers and additional Coordinator needed IMMEDIATELY.

WHAT IS THE FUTURE OFE-MAIL TEACHING?

• The Lord will guide us

• Who could have foreseen a tool that

Page 28: EVANGELIZING THROUGH E-MAIL 25 Additional Teachers and additional Coordinator needed IMMEDIATELY.

WHAT IS THE FUTURE OFE-MAIL TEACHING?

• allows us to be missionaries to 107 countries without leaving our homes,

• that would bring over 800 people a year

knocking at our door,

• and that would result in Bible studies with 4 out every 10 who knock?

Page 29: EVANGELIZING THROUGH E-MAIL 25 Additional Teachers and additional Coordinator needed IMMEDIATELY.

EXCITING PLANS

• Plans are being laid to advertise WEI by snail-mail and e-mail in mainland China (PRC).

• Registrations from PRC increased in January without any advertising because PRC joined WTO January 2002.

Page 30: EVANGELIZING THROUGH E-MAIL 25 Additional Teachers and additional Coordinator needed IMMEDIATELY.

EXCITING PLANS

• China missionaries estimate up to 1000 registrations with each advertisement in regional newspapers.

• Jan and I are operating at full capacity without PRC advertising. We are searching for people to double WEI e-mail capacity.
