What have you learnt about technologies from

the process of constructing this

product?

From the process of constructing this product I

have learnt a number of things from looking at

tutorials people have made or by experimenting

myself. By learning these different techniques it will

allow me to use these technologies in the future.

Hardware

CAMERA

For my filming of my opening sequence I used a Casio Exlim camera. The camera had a good quality camera which is the main reason I used it. I learnt that the camera has different effects embedded in it. Also I found out how to adjust the lighting on the camera. I learnt that the camera has certain modes you can put it into such as “portrait” for taking pictures of people. I leant how to keep the camera still when filming certain scenes was by using a tripod.

IMAC

I used the iMac computers to edit and create all my research and planning. I decided to used the iMac because it has the iMovie software which is what I wanted to used for editing my film opening sequence. I learnt how to use the basic software on the computer by looking at YouTube videos which give you tutorials on how to use the iMac computers. I have also learnt that iMac computers are equipped with amazing software.

Software

IMOVIE

iMovie is a software on the iMac computers used for editing. I decided to used this software to edit my film because it is easy and quick to learn about different things you can do on it such as transitions and movie effects. I learnt that you can download music and fonts onto iMovie when creating my film opening. I also learnt how to adjust sounds over the top of different scenes of my movie. I learnt how to add transitions into my film opening by using an iMovie tutorial on the internet.

Online Tools

BLOGGER

Blogger is an online tool where you create your own blog which allows you to post images text and videos for the public to see. I learnt how to tag posts and add pictures/images/text to my blog. To change the layout of my blog so that it looked different was easy to learn because there is a “Layout” tab. I learnt that I could embed some of my work from other online websites such as mindmeister and Prezi onto my blog.

MINDMEISTER

MindMeister is another online tool that I used during this project. It is a website which allows you to create mind maps which stand out from your basic hand drawn mind maps. I learnt how to add images into my mind map from the internet or from pictures I have taken myself. I also learnt how to embed my mind map onto my blog by copying and pasting the html.

SLIDESHARE

Finally I used Slideshare in my project. Slideshare is a online tool which allows you to pout your PowerPoint into a easy to used slideshow. I learnt how to embed my PowerPoint onto the slideshare website by signing up to slideshare and uploading my PowerPoint onto the website. I have also learnt how to look at other peoples PowerPoint's on slideshare who have made their PowerPoint's “public.”
