Hardware

CAMERA

For my filming of my opening sequence I used a Lumix camera. The camera had a good quality camera which is the main reason I used it. I learnt that the camera has different effects embedded in it. Also I found out how to adjust the lighting on the camera. I learnt that the camera has certain modes you can put it into such as “portrait” for taking pictures of people.

IMAC

I used the iMac computers to edit and create all my research and planning. I decided to used the iMac because it has the iMovie software which is what I wanted to used for editing my film opening sequence. The iMac’s are equipped with many different software's which were very useful such as iTunes for creating and downloading the music/sound effects I learnt how to use in my opening sequence.

Software

IMOVIE

iMovie is a software on the iMac computers used for editing. I decided to used this software to edit my film because it is easy and quick to learn about different things you can do on it such as transitions and movie effects. I learnt that you can download music and fonts onto iMovie when creating my film opening. I also learnt how to adjust sounds over the top of different scenes of my movie.

Online Tools

BLOGGER

Blogger is an online tool where you create your own blog which allows you to post images text and videos for the public to see. This was the first time I used blogger but it was quite basic and easy to figure out how to work. I learnt how to tag posts and add pictures/images/text to my blog. To change the layout of my blog so that it looked different was easy to learn because there is a “Layout” tab.

MINDMEISTER

MindMeister is another online tool that I used during this project. It is a website which allows you to create mind maps which stand out from your basic hand drawn mind maps. I learnt how to add images into my mind map from the internet or from pictures I have taken myself. MindMeister had different layouts you can chose from but I decided to go for the basic one because I didn't’t want it to look too crowed.

SLIDESHARE

Finally I used Slideshare in my project. Slideshare is a online tool which allows you to pout your PowerPoint into a easy to used slideshow. I used this because it looks more effective that just a plain PowerPoint. Also I found out you can embed your PowerPoint from slideshare onto your blog easily by just copying and pasting the html.
