Cannon EOS 1200D camera

To film our video we need a high quality camera that would allow us the freedom we need to get the shot we wanted for our Music Video. As the Cannon EOS 1200D was such a high quality camera we used this for the majority of are shot. The size and weight of the camera allowed us to use the camera free hand, which was vital as we wanted action shot and to follow the players around as they played the Cannon allowed u to do that. We also used lens which meant two things, 1. It allowed us to add a cinematic feel to our music video 2. It allowed us to film for far away which meant we didn’t get in the way and disturb the flow of the Wheelchair Basketball game.

GoPro Hero 4 The GoPro again like the Cannon

was vital to our filming of the music video. As action shot were a big part of our video. We also wanted to get POV shots and GoPro with their mounts where the perfect thing. It allowed us to create the feeling that the views where actually there. Time lape a cool so we wanted to include a time lape. It also created meaning in the video like the world was leaving the actor behind. We used head and chest mounts for all the POV shots.

Social Media Social Media was key when it

came to audience research. All we had to do was post something on Facebook and ask people to comment on it and we would get lots of great feedback and it helped us include things that the audience recommended and in turn made our video better.

Blogger Blogger was vital to the

whole project as it was where I documented everything through out the whole project. This makes it easy for me because I know what I have done and what I need to do and is easy for the examiner because all my work is in one place and they don’t need to be doing all around the web to find it. It also allowed me to put my work up for feedback.

Youtube YouTube is a video-sharing

website headquartered in San Bruno, California, United States. Youtube allowed us to showcase all are videos Audience Research, Rough Cuts, and our Final Cut. This allowed us to get our video potentional to the whole world. As Youtube is a world wide website that can be seen by the whole world. Youtube was a great place for us to get feedback.

Photoshop/InDesign We used Photoshop and InDesign

to create our digipak and advert for our Music Video. It allowed use to use filters and layer to get the effect we wanted to get across to our Audience. Photoshop is a professionally used pieces of software which meant it had lots of different effects and thing you could do which really gave us the freedom to do what we wanted with our advert and digipak.

Final Cut Pro X We used Final Cut Pro x to do all our

editing of are videos. Again much like Photoshop and InDesign, Final Cut Pro x is a professionally used pieces of software, which means that you can do anything on it and it made our video look very professional. As it is a very big and complex piece of software it took me some time to get to grips with it, but with the help of Mr Milburn and the Youtube video below it speed things up.

Prezi, Slideshare and Google Forums

Prezi is much like PowerPoint but much more creative and allows you to play around with the way the information is presentated. I use Prezi when doing my Evaluation Question 3. Slideshare allowed me to share PowerPoint on my Blogger account. I used Slideshare for Evaluation Question 1,2 and 4. Google Forums was a great help when it came to getting feedback from people about our video. There is one downside through, that is people don’t have to put their name down so they can right what ever they want therefore you may get some rates that are not true which does not help us.
