1. How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts? By Robert Corbishley Evaluation Question 2 2. I believe that the combination of my main product is effective because I have ensured that they all relate together. One example of how I have done so is through the use of my actor. I have ensured that Martin, my actor, has featured in all three of my tasks and ensured that it is clear to see that he is the main focus. I think that this is effective because it shows that it is his story, and it wouldnt make sense if I had three different actors on the three different tasks. Another example of how I have combined the three tasks is through the use of the surroundings. I have ensured that the audience can see that nature is a theme in all three of my tasks. I have done this because it can show that Martin is alone with nature. I think that this works because after the break up it helps to show that Martin is by himself. Below are three screenshots of examples from my music video, digipack and my music magazine advertisement. 3. Music Video The overall plot is that it is following Martin through the breakup, so him being by himself is seen regularly in my music video, as well as my ancillary tasks. As you can see to the right, there is a screenshot that I took from my music video of Martin. This shows him by himself, surrounded by nature. Nature is also something that I have made a big theme of my coursework. 4. Digipack In my digipack, it shows Martin by himself surrounded by nature. This theme is shown throughout all 3 of my tasks. As you can see, there is an evident link between the digipack and the previously mentioned music video. In my digipack, it shows Martin, who is seen in my music video, as well as the other theme of nature. I believe that having a link between the two is very important as it gives the image of the artist and doesnt confuse the audience. 5. Music magazine advertisement In my music magazine advertisement (right), it shows Martin looking towards the camera in an alleyway. At the bottom of the music magazine advertisement, I have put in an image of leaves and faded it out into the image. I believe this works nicely as I have a theme of nature so it fits in with that. Again, it shows Martin as the artist so this combines with the other 2 tasks nicely. 6. Audience Feedback I believe that it is very important to gain some audience feedback for all 3 of my tasks. This is because I will know what to improve and I will also know what is good about my tasks. Below is some of the information that I gathered. I think the combination between the three tasks works very well as it is clear to see that nature is a big part of the promotional package. In all three tasks you can see nature has a big role to play. For example, at the bottom of the music magazine advertisement there is an image of leaves blended into the original image. All three of the tasks have the same actor in it, and it is very important because it shows the audience that this is the artist and it is all based around him.
