TO DETERMINE WHO WOULD BE OUR

TARGET AUDIENCE WE CLOSELY EXAMINED THE PROPERTIES OF

OUR THRILLER OPENING AND WHICH

WOULD APPEAL TO WHAT KIND OF

PERSON.

Page 3: Evaluation q 4

WE FIGURED THAT OUR THRILLER WOULD APPEAL

MOSTLY TO AN ADOLESCENT AND YOUNG ADULT AUDIENCE AND

BECAUSE OF THE SUPERNATURAL AND HORROR ELEMENT WE HAVE

RATED OUR THRILLER A CERTIFICATE RATING OF 15

GENDERWhen deciding which gender our thriller ‘Room 21’ would appeal to we believe that it

would target both females and males. As males would enjoy our opening as it have three female protagonists and the

females may be able to relate to the girls on the screen.

AGEThe age of our audience we

believe would be for teenagers and young adults as this is the answer we received when we

asked people who they believed would watch horror thrillers. We also know that watching

this type of film can be a social event as we have gone to watch films similar to ‘Room 21’ with

our own friends.

our own thriller:E – People at the lowest income

As the surroundings within the thriller would be relatable to the audience, also the way the characters act as they are

working class.

LOCATION

Our final location for our thriller would be national

being people within Britain and more specifically

England. As they will notice the similarities in their own

lives to the three main protagonists. This would

make the thriller seem more realistic.
