In this research report we are going to evaluate "instructional prograamin1 course" form ILT department in college of education. This course aims to develop the student programming skill and implement them in the education and instructional felids. Also it aims to help student to develop their online skills because This course follows blended learning style were the students take the lectures in actual class room but the discussions were taken in discussion forum in moodle , so this develop their participation and online

communications with other students or with the instructors.

In this report we are going to evaluate one of the interaction components of which is used in the programming course which is discussion boards. Also we will evaluate form both (pedagogically & technically).

Purpose of Evaluation

This evaluation report aims to investigate the advantage and disadvantaged of using discussion forum as instructional participation tool in the learning process. also to measure student interaction regarding to the discussion forums in this course.

Our target audiences are ILT student form ILT department in college of education who are enrolled in instructional programming"1" course. Most of the students are in the fourth academic years. They are expert in using the computer and they are skilled enough to navigate the internet

we are going to use an observation criteria and interaction checklist to evaluate student's interaction in the discussion forums. The interaction checklist is compost of tow part which are social interaction and cognitive interaction .it will be provided to the target via the (WWW). Also, we will use (High ,Med, Low) scale in this instrument.The second instrument will be used is an observation criteria.

Advantages & Limitations of the

Technology•It gives the students the opportunity to participate freely because the students’ number in the class too large and the time is limited. Also, it allows to complete the uncompleted discussion in the classroom time.

• On the other hand, the students posted a lot of topics and these make other students to be confused. Also, this takes a lot of time from the instructor to track all the posts.
