What Went Well

A few of my pictures came out really well, but others didn’t. Focusing on the positives, I did enjoy this task as I like working with the cameras, and walking round the quays to see what I could capture was fun. I spent a lot of time wandering around as I felt sometimes the sun was over exposing my shots, but when I did capture an image it came out great like the one below.

The image on the left has got to be one of my favourite out of them all. I like the way the sky looks with clouds scattered, and I framed it really well, which was unintentional at the time. You can see a lot going on just from the image, the sky, the water itself, boats, Media City in the background and the brick walls. All these little aspects bring something to the photo and almost looks 3D.

What Would I Change

If I were to do this again I would definitely change the day I would go. I went to Salford Quays on three separate occasions, and all the times it was extremely cold and windy.

I felt like this limited me as to how much time I would spend outside to take photos of the Quays, and this is the reason why I ended up with so little photographs. I would change where I positioned myself, I stayed in an area around the Quays but it would have been better if I walked all the way round, preferably near the Lowry and that part of the water. This would have gave me a completely different perspective on the shoot.
