USE OF PHOTOSHOP AND INDESIGN PHOTOSHOP – photo shot allows me to manipulate the image in order to make it look more appealing and high quality. Photoshop is a large graphic design software program created by the Adobe Company. It enables a learner to touch up images, and experienced graphic design professionals to create various products. Photoshop gives me the most basic opportunity to create a high quality image. Photoshop also allows graphical alterations such as changing a color photo to black and white or sepia. This was extremely helpful and useful in the development of my magazine product and made images look more realistic and better quality. I managed to learn skills such as using tools I haven’t used before on Photoshop.

Blogger – To start of this production and research I used blogger to set up a blog where I posted all my research and production. This is the technology I used to set up my page and embed all the information onto the page making it look more appealing, effective and engaging for the users to read.

SlideShare - SlideShare began with a simple goal: To share knowledge online. Since then, Slide Share has grown to become the world’s largest community for sharing presentations and other professional content. This is a free media website which enables me to upload my professional slideshow presentations; therefore this technology was extremely useful. It is a respected network known for its quality and emphasis on presentations. This created an interactive approach to the presentation of the PowerPoint. It has been used effectively when embedding the HTML onto my blog and can be views in good quality for the reader to understand.

Prezi – this is a colour based presentation software and storytelling tool for presenting ideas on a virtual canvas. It is creative software and has been used effectively for my research and planning to allow the presentation to look more effective and engaging. It creates a more creative approach for the readers in which my coursework can be used and be in use to them to keep them informed.

Use of Microsoft Excel: Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet application developed by Microsoft for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS. It features calculation, graphing tools, pivot tables, and a macro programming language called Visual Basic for Applications. This has been used to create my graphs to evaluate the questionnaires in the planning. This was used to present the results make the pie charts look effective and give a clear effect of what it is representing. This allows me to create the percentages and pie chart which state the different categories in the questionnaire.

Scribd – This websites allowed me to upload the document that I created on Microsoft word and embed it onto my blog to make it look like an actual document. This also allowed alterations on the layout of texts, in which could be presented to the audience. Scribd is a self-publishing platform where I can not only publish my work but also share files.

PowToon – PowToon has been used effectively and creatively during my media product research, planning and evaluation. I have used this to create a more exciting, enthusiastic and attractive presentation to an audience as well as that, music can also be included to keep the readers engaged and interested in the information given. PowToon gives an anime effect which allows me to insert images, text, effects and clip arts to make the presentation look more exciting. This website allows grabbing a potential target audience’s attention.

Voki- This was another use of technology that I managed to use as other media technologies as it is an educational tool that allows me to create my very own character. This was creative as all I had to do was choose a character and write the text in the text box which they will then read with my choice of voice selection. This allows the reader/users to just sit back and listen to the content.

Professional Camera – To produce images for my magazine, I used a professional camera in a photo-shoot magazine to make the images appear high quality and can be edited in Photoshop. I used a memory stick to transfer the work onto my documents. I used Adobe Photoshop and InDesign on the Mac computers so I found this easy to edit and make improvements to the images to make them appear in better quality.
