AdvertisingHOW WOULD MY FILM BE ADVERTISED?

Billboards

Adverts on billboards are large and eye-catching and will attract people’s attention as they walk or drive past or see it through the window of a nearby building.

Posters and magazine ads

Adverts in magazines will subconsciously stick in the readers’ minds as they flick through it. The more well-designed the poster, the better.

TV ads and film trailers at the cinema

Trailers give a deeper insight into what the film is about so there is a larger opportunity to grip the viewers and make them interested. The more regularly they are played on TV, the more they can persuade people to go and see the film.

Facebook page

As Facebook is one of the leading social media sites, by creating a page for the film, updates and release dates can be easily shared to the whole world online.

Twitter page

The case is the same with Twitter. Social media is used constantly across the globe and new about the film will spread fast as people “favourite” and “retweet” posts about the film.

Instagram page

Although Instagram would not be the most popular advertising strategy for films, it would help to have a page to upload behind-the-scenes footage and photos so the people could feel like they are more involved with the release of the film.
