Evaluation 3What have you learned from your audience feedback?

Feedback:• The choice of music fits the idea of the video quite well.• The location of the video is good but could be better.• The storyline sounds a tad too cliché.• The initial idea of the video fits well with the music, it could attract the required

audience.

My initial reaction to these comments where of happiness and excitement, as I was eager to begging. The only problem was the choice of music, the reason for this is due to the fact that dubstep is a well known genre of music, however you either love it or hate or in some cases cant even be in the same room with these types of sounds, this made it harder to produce my video as I had to think of ways in which the music had to fit the video. This made it considerably harder to think of ideas and shots to used to please the audience.

Sam’s feedback:

• Its fast paced and has the feeling of dubstep.• The genre is easily recognisable.• Shots are well done and flow with the music.

After hearing this feedback of my first draft of the music video, I was overwhelmingly happy. The music captivated the audience and the music video flowed with ease as the shots where starting to slowly take form into a music video. However it was after hearing this feedback that I had to go a re-shoot some of the scene as they weren’t up to the standard that I set out to achieve. With this in mind I’ll continue to improve my video till the point where every shot and every beat are in sync.

Album feedback from Sam:

• It’s distinctive of the dubstep genre• It fits well with the other material.• Good information.• Awesome use of alchemy!

This was my first attempt at using Photoshop, I decided to merge the aggressiveness of the dubstep genre with the artistic qualities of graffiti, I created something that was brutal yet beautiful in that sense, As graffiti is an art and not vandalism, however initially it was a bit too dark in the sense that we could see more aggressiveness that beauty, after working with it a little bit more with some help of Ken Coleman I managed to brighten up the album and make it look like it does now.

Feedback on finished video

• Sound quality has improved• Theory of implication is good as is the editing• Good continuity and thrilling action

Conclusion of the video feedback

Final digipack feedback

• Wouldn’t change anything• Quite busy but fits with the genre• Look of effects looks unique• Effects make a genuine impact

After reading the final feedback of my album I was quite pleased, not I the sense of achievement but more in the sense of what my audience wanted me to change in the digipak. I really like the connection that my audience gave me while working as well as they game me quite a lot of support, so to conclude my digipak: I am proud that I was able to make something as much fun as this and I hope my audience will like what it is that iv’e made.

Presenting my treatment feedback

Overall the feedback I received for my video was good however I couldn’t help but feel a little down after reading some of the quality of feedback I received as some where a bit immature and not taken seriously. Comments such as “you need more video game fighting” or “is there a Link to the Song?” As I mentioned before I think that the level of this comments is important but kind of pointless as I explain everything that happens in the video in both my blog and my storyboard, however most of the comments where positive and helped me improve my video in the sense of being able to please my audience.
