High Power charging infrastructure
Objective is to demonstrate the economicviability and the necessary conditions for anEU-wide network of interoperable andinterconnected fast charging stations and therelated customer-oriented interoperable e-mobility services.
About 38 fast charging stations will bedeployed, including 23 in Belgium and fiveeach in Italy, France and UK. The Action willlead to a continuous charging station networkbetween Dublin and Genoa along the CoreNetwork.

ABB installed first Terra 53 CJG charger inGenoa in collaboration with Porto Antico inDecember 2016.
In April the charger has been upgraded withcredit card reader payment system.
Identification of areas for next 3 chargersalong the corridor from Genoa to Nice areongoing alongside definition of the ElectricMobility Provider.

High Power (HP) Charging
CharIN core member from the start
ABB actively engaged in the new high power CCS standard
§ CharIN is the organization to develop highpower CCS (150-350 kW)
§ Wide coalition of automakers support (BMW,VW, Audi, Porsche, Ford, Opel/GM, Daimler)
§ ABB was core member of the organizationfrom the start

General remarks on high power CCS:• CE certification of charger and cooled cable depends on standards
• IEC standard takes until 2018
• VDE application rule is fastest way
• CHAdeMO: also working on high power version (100kW – 500V / 200 A) non liquid-cooled cable required

• US Market leader in fast charging, EVgo, commissions nation'sfirst ABB high-power EV fast charging station for the nextgeneration of electric vehicles.
• The high-power fast charging system features a maximumcharging rate of 150kW – providing a charge which is three timesfaster than what is available today.
• The installed system has the potential to reach charging speeds ofup to 350kW with an upgrade
