INTRODUCTIONThe Unified Patent Court is cited the most important change in a generation, sowhere are we now? With a momentous couple of months in the UK post-Brexit,there are of course many questions and concerns from patent owners regardingthe introduction of the UPC.

The MIP European Patent Reform Forum 2016 will be examining the patent land-scape in Europe, given the ‘Business as usual’ approach delivered by the UK IPminister, the forum will be looking to the future of Unified Patent Court and UnitaryPatent in detail whilst assessing the implications of Brexit on patent protection andenforcement in Europe.

The programme addresses the major issues at hand and will encourage participa-tion and debate on all the pertinent topics and technical matters from the variedperspectives of a wide range of stakeholders.
