The democratic heart of the EAN is the

• to increase the availability and standards of neurological services;
• to advance the development of neurology as the major medical specialty caring for patients with neurological disorders;

• to collaborate with international, national and regional neurological associations and related international health organisations;

EAN-RTCs are specially designed for the purpose to bring neurological standards directly to the countries in the East to avoid that our young colleagues have to travel to expensive congresses.

12 persons are selected, based on the quality of their submitted abstract, to participate in the tournament for young
neurologists during the EAN congress. Candidates receive a travel grant as well as hotel accommodation and free
registration to the congress.
