Eligible Universe/ Constituent Management• EI operates a rigorous data QA function to ensure it services

are underpinned by data of the highest quality

• EI maintains a global universe of 51,000 equities with pricing and reference data history to 1988

• This allows EI to manage the eligible universe for any index rules

• As a provider of benchmark indices it can also provide these as reference universes for establishing eligible stock universes

• EI also has published treatments of all corporate actions and special situations which can be used for eligible constituent management:

– Changes in trading liquidity of a stock
