56 The most important thing for the user when selecting a chair is that the chair is comfortable to sit on and is easy to adjust - especially if the user frequently change working position, or if multiple users share the same chair. Thus, we have developed the special EUROMATIC-seat mechanism, which all our Universal chairs are equipped with. The user finds two small handles beneath the seat, with which both seat and backrest can be adjusted variably. Each handle has its own small gas spring. If the user releases the left handle, he can use his body weight and adjust the angle of the seat between 11° forward and 3° backward. The angle of the backrest 16° forward and 6° backward - is adjusted with the right handle. Overall, it is a very intuitive mechanism, based on the same principles as the height adjustment.
