Acli learners have taken part to a flower arrangement workshop devoted to Easter , creating several flower compositions suitable to adorn and decorate houses during the festivity. 27. The learners were also explained the importance of some basic elements in the art of floristry such as texture and colour Texture is the physical structure of the materials you use in your flower arrangement. The diverse surface quality of each different material in a design creates textural interest. A material can be rough or smooth, straight or curvy, shiny or matte, coarse or fine. Whatever you choose you must know when to use one material rather than another one, otherwise it might result inappropriate .Texture is a very crucial factor in floral designing. Colour Harmony of colour in the composition is an element of unity and completeness of the composition. By using the colour wheel as guide, it is possible achieve colour harmony in your arrangement. You could create an analogous arrangement, complementary colour arrangement, monochromatic arrangement, split complementary arrangement and triadic arrangement. Colours make flower arranging fun and exciting. Colours give the arrangement personality and express feelings , 28. DRY FLOWERS WORKSHOP It has been developed by the students of the first course of vocational training in Gardening and Floristry from IES Federico Garca Lorca in Churriana de la Vega (Granada).
