The EUI has a vacancy for a Research Assistant in the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced

Studies.

% of full-time:

Full time for 12 months starting April 2016 with the possibility of

renewal

Salary indication: Basic net salary between € 1.800 and € 2.000 per month,

depending on the qualifications (plus allowances if applicable)

Director of project:Prof. Leigh Hancher 

Title of project: Florence School of Regulation  – EU Energy and Law Policy Area

Job description: Scientific coordination of the “EU Energy Law & Policy” area ofthe Florence School of Regulation: 50% coordination and 50%research.Coordination implies:

o  Promotion of the activities of the Energy Law andPolicy Area and donor relationships

o  Setting-up, developing and managing online contentand possibly an energy law blog.

Research implies:o  Developing material for the annual summer school

and training eventso  Writing 2 research papers on EU energy law and

policy under the supervision of the Director and the Adviser

Place of work: Florence, Italy

Qualifications: Essential:

- Master or PhD in law or closely-related subject;- Very good background in European energy law and Europeanenergy regulation;- Academic or policy publications in energy law
