• By doing the above, will lower student stress and enhance motivation

• Start the course with every student having an A in the course

Benefits of Frequent Testing• Beginning of class, give students 10 question, multiple-choice

quiz and tell the students that the answers can be found in the day’s lecture.

• Students need to pay attention to get the answers right, but if they do it’s a “gimmee of a quiz”

• Become more active learners

• OR pre-test let the class take the quiz and then give them the opportunity to correct their answers

Pair-Share-Compare• Pairing students

• Each person accountable to a partner

• At various points ask the pairs to share and compare notes

• Good way for students to see if they missed content and learning

Getting Started• If you are not sure whether students understand your

specifications, give them examples of acceptable and unacceptable work

• Determine what A level work is and what B level work is

• Recall student exams that have resulted in point deductions
