I love the region especially for its history and the memories rooted in the land. Heritage tourism is not very conventional; it's a kind of tourism dictated by the heart and emotions.

The Upper Somme Light RailwayThe small train wanders along the banks of the Somme. Lovers of old railways will be delighted by the tunnel, the high bridge, the zig-zag reverse climb, the gradient through the forest, not forgetting the wooden seats, a bumpy and perhaps even a smoky ride! And just thinkthat this line once carried the soldiers to the Great War!
