Lactoferrin is a multifunctional protein from a transferrin family that naturally occurs in human body, where it acts as one of the leading component of organism’s immune system. Until today there has been no resistance to Lactoferrin, which means that is continuously effective. It is presented in the human body in exocrine secretions such as milk, saliva, tears, bile, but also in blood plasma and neutrophils. The highest concentration of lactoferrin is present in the first milk after birth of mammals.
