Elite Sports Program
AFL
ESP overview
Targeted to Years 10 or 11 Students displaying a strong interest in AFL and have a desire to explore a career in Australian Rules Football.The program is delivered via a partnership with the Calder Cannons TAC Football Club and AFL Victoria The Elite Sports program consists of: VET Sport and Recreation Cert III to be completed over 2 years Two training sessions per week. Rehabilitation, skill development,
strength and conditioning training.
ESP overview
Students will have access to elite training and conditioning allowing for a blend of academic development and practical learning specific to their chosen sport
The program aims to further develop each student’s capacity in their chosen sport (AFL) by offering a program that builds leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
This will be achieved by being part of an elite program, with elite coaching staff, and access to elite facilities and opportunities.

coaching and first aid.

ESP camp at the beginning of the year. Two training sessions per week - morning and

Levy
$250 per year, inclusive of camp, incursions, excursion, limited uniform & elite coaching
$400 per year - Additional cost for VET program Deposit for the program required by July this year if
successful in the application process. If you currently possess a concession card, please collect an
application form for a government funding grant worth approximately $200 to be deducted off your total cost of the ESP.

Requirements
Detailed application form screening for suitability to the ESP AFL Program.
Involvement in local football club and/or representative football club
High standard of the following: Behaviour, Academic ability, Attitude, Attendance and AFL Talent

Application form Have a discussion with your parents/families Bring your parents to the information session tomorrow
night at 6:30pm for Year 9 students going into 10 and 7:00pm for Year 11 students going into Year 12.
Complete your application form and hand into the Sport office to Miss Chircop by Friday 12th June (next Friday)
Select ESP on your Subject selections
