ESMC Appliance Configuration In this tutorial we will show you how to download Hypervisor/VMware appliance from which location and

full installation process with VMWare Workstation 14.0 Pro.

1. At first open the ESET website: https://www.eset.com

2. Then click on the Bangladesh button. Main website will be open.

3. Now click FOR BUSINESS > PRODUCT & SERVICES and All standalone products link as follows:

4. Here scroll down the cursor and choose Remote Management part. Then click as follows:

5. In this page at first select Virtual appliances part then choose your Hypervisor Type. In this tutorial

we will show you for VMWare Workstation as we told you before.

6. After selection click on the DOWNLOAD button to get the appliance:

The appliance is fully CentOS 7 based.

7. Now Click on OK button from here:

8. Now download process has been started:

9. After download, here is the OVA file. Which will be opened by VMWare.

10. Open the VMWare software and click on Open a Virtual Machine button.

OVA file download location will be opened.

11. Now Select the OVA file and Click on Open:

12. Select the I accept the terms…. then click on the NEXT button.

13. Now browse the storage path in the hard disk. The appliance will open from that location. Then

click on BROWSE button then click on IMPORT button.

14. The esmc_appliance.ova file is now connected with VMWare Workstation 14.0 Pro and now it is

ready to Power ON.

15. Before Power on this Virtual machine, Replicate the Physical network connection. Then press on

OK button.

16. Now Power ON the Virtual machine. It is opening now…

17. For configure the appliance, press ENTER for login to the panel. Enter the pass “eraadmin” by

default at first time login.

18. Here you can set the Static IP address, Subnet Mask , Gateway and DNS too.

19. Now follow and fill up step-by-step then press ENTER to continue.

20. Now open the ESET appliance by using an internet browser (Firefox or Chrome or IE). After open

the browser use the link like (https://192.168.0.202). (NOTE: Use latest version internet browser)

Then press ENTER from keyboard then click on Advanced button.

21. Now click on Add Exception.

22. Now click on Confirm Security Exception

23. This page will be apeared. Now click on the point. A menu will be shown.

24. Now select on ESET Security Management Center Server Appliance option:

25. The page will be show:

26. Now fill up the blank fields. The password which you will enter, it will be used for VM, database,

server certification authority and server webconsole also.

27. Also enter the server IP address, Subnet mask, DNS1 and DNS2. Then press on SUBMIT button.

28. The page will be appeared. It is asking to check the VM appliance now.

30. After the settings the IP Details information will be displayed in the appliance:

31. Now open an internet browser then type the IP address in the address bar.

32. Type https://192.168.0.202 This page will show:

33. Type the Administrator password you have saved previously. Which is shown in the step number 26

Now press on LOGIN button.

34. Here is the DASHBOARD for the panel. Now click on More >

35. Then click on license management:

36. License insertion page will be appeared.

37. Here select License key. Because you will get the key after order.

38. After insert the License Key, press on ADD LICENSES button.

39. When the License Key will be added the dialog box will be shown in the front. Now press on OK

button.

40. After insert the License Key now you can do everything whatever you want just like another ESMC

Panel.

a. You can Disable/Enable the remote access
