The European Space Innovation Centre (ESIC) provides offices in a range from 60m² up to

500m ² with a professional infrastructure and image for entrepreneurs, start-ups and established

companies to help expand their business, together with a range of business support services.

ESIC offers an impressive base to work from, allowing you to grow your business within a lively

environment where you will have access to the skills, knowledge and experience of similar

individuals and companies. ESA-BIC is one of the anchor-tenants

History (1/2)2007: • Request of ESA and the Municipality of Noordwijk to develop a multi-tenant office building which could also house ESA-BIC• First design: 5000 sqm office including 1200 sqm incubator• Assignment of subsidy by the Province of South Holland and the Municipality of Noordwijk 2008:• Economical Crisis• Rejection of the ESA BIC application for subsidy by the government (Techno Partners)• Consequences: Halving of the incubation program to 600 sqm

New development of a smaller building

History (2/2)2009:• Assignment of contribution to ESA BIC by the Ministry of Economic Affairs• Start of the new development 2010:• April 28: kick-off incubation program by Secretary of State Maria van der Hoeven• May: 65% pre-let• September 1: start construction 2011:• May: opening of the building

ESIC Business Services

ESIC business services are as broad as you might expect, and are based on the experience with

high expansion companies. The Centre Offers: • Work spaces available: “Flexdesk”, “Workdesk”, flex office, studio or office• Central reception and switchboard• Telephone answering in company time• Photocopying, printing, faxing and post handling• On-site meeting and conference facilities• Ample parking• Lunchroom & catering facilities• Broadband and Wireless internet acces available• Site security and acces control systems, providing 24 hours access• Special support from non-Dutch companies to set-up business easily• Secretarial, accounting and legal services available• Membership of BViT Innovation network, linking centres and companies together

ESIC’s climate concept, the human approach:

• Hybrid ventilation concept with low energy usage (CO2 reduction): the building is ventilated by

using the Atrium. No gas heating needed.

• Energylabel Green A+ (more than 30% less energy usage than the official norm)

• Use of solar energy by means of PV-cells

• Recovery of energy by using ventilation with heat pump

• Green roof

• Extra natural daylight entry via the atrium and the glass facades

• Flexible floor concepts
