PREPRIMARY EDUCATION (ISCED 0 level) seeks the socialisation of children and the phisically, emotionally and cognitively development through specific activities;
This level includes children between 3 and 6 years who are learning in specialized institutions called kindergardens , most of them being public. The participation of children in kindergarden is free and optional and the last year ensure the preparation ofor the primary school.
• Groups : “Little” group(age 3-4) ”Medium “group (age 4-5 ) “Big” group– (age 5-6 )
Programme : normal (5 hours/day), long (10 hours/day) weekly (5 days/week).

COMPULSORY SCHOOLING lasts 10 years and includes 3 stages:
Primary education (ISCED 1 level , lasting 5 years);
First stage of low general secondary education (ISCED 2 level, lasting 4 years), held in secondary school;
Second stage of low secondary education (ISCED 2 level), lasting 2 years), held in:
Junior high (general or vocational education) School of arts and crafts (professional education).

Upper secondary education (ISCED 3 level ) includes:
High education (2-3 years), preceded by completion year for Arts and crafts schools’ graduates;
The completion year is an opportunity for Arts and crafts schools’ graduates to achieve the necessary education to continue their learning in upper secondary education and obtain a superior professional qualification.
Upper secondary education provides general and specialized courses that lead to further studies:
Post – secondary education (ISCED 4 level)
Higher education(ISCED 5 level)

TERTIARY EDUCATION (ISCED 5 level) includes :
• Short-term higher education (2-3 years) provided by university colleges. Graduates receive a graduation diploma.
• Long – term higher education (4-6 ani) provided by - universities; - institutes; - academies.
The graduates receive bachelor degree.

POSTGRADUATE EDUCATION (ISCED 6 level) provides the following study programmes:
• Postgraduate specialisation lasting 2-3 semesters, finished with a postgraduate diploma;
• Master lasting 2-4 semesters, finished with a master’s degree; • Postgraduate academic studies lasting 2-4 semesters, finnished with a
postgraduate academic degree;
• Doctorate lasting 4 years , finished with a doctoral degree;
• Postgraduates specialisation studies with duration determined by the university senate, finished with a postgraduate diploma of specialization;
• Postgraduates courses with duration determined by the university senate, finished with a graduation certificate.
