In 1968 the first programme offered by the IB, the Diploma Programme, was established. It

Approaches t o Teaching &

Learning Sk il ls (ATL): - ATL are deliberate strategies, skills and attitudes

that are passed on by the IB teaching and learning

- ATL supports the IB belief that students?

The st at em ent m ission of ERS The mission of The Privatschule der Deutschen Botschaft (ERS) is to

prepare students to become life-long learners and positive contributors

to their local and global communities. Tolerance, a sense of

responsibility, respect for other cultures, the environment and nature

characterise all of our thinking and actions. Politely dealing with one

another and helpfulness are as important as motivation and skillfulness. The students will be able to compete with others internationally in

several different fields and will be flexible in adapting to new situations.

Int ernat ional-Mindedness in IB International-mindedness is the key to having a better understanding, appreciation of one another and respecting the others ideas; in fact, it is

a way of thinking. In today?s troubled world, international-mindedness

may be the best way to convey a brighter and more peaceful future.
