Eraser 5.8.8 Now that you have successfully encrypted all of your company’s sensitive data, it is time to download a third-party product to erase your unencrypted data permanently. Deleting files in Windows means that they can be later retrieved. Enter heidi.ie/node/6 into your web browser. Download the latest version of Eraser and install it. Below is a screenshot of Eraser 5.8.8.

Click File and New Task to open Task Properties. Click the File button in Task Properties and then click the ellipse […} button. Navigate to a file you want to erase. Click Open. Click OK.

Click Task and Run All. Click Yes.

Click Close. The file is now lost forever, it has been rewritten.
