Math Core: K-1This class will focus on strengthening math concepts through small group instruction, math games, and activities. Camp Invention

The Camp Invention Program provides a unique learning environment for students to explore STEAM via hands-on, problem solving activities that promote authentic development in creativ-ity and confidence, with a STEAM interest. The immersive interdisciplinary curricula inspires students to become curious about their world and empowers them to have an innovative mindset.

Art in Nature - Students spend time sketching and drawing images in nature and using various materials and mediums to recreate these images. Session 1 - 9:35 - 10:35 a.m. Session 1 - 1:25 - 2:25 p.m. Session 2 - 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Session 2 - 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Brain Games - Kids learn through activities and play. Games may include: Seek-A-Boo, Giant Blocks, Giant Puzzles, Balls & Instruments, Abacus, Giant Memory Games, Dinosaur Escape, Imagination Mag-nets, Code Hopper, Block Buddies, Dig It Up, Start Up Circuits, Brain Box Early Learning Games, Magna tiles, Playful Chef, Marble Run, Count Your Chickens, Brain Box, Share and Sparkle, Feed the Woozle,

Dance Fever! - Students dance and move to kid-friendly songs, watch videos and immerse themselves in learning various styles of cultural dance including but not limited to Brazil: Samba, China: Dragon Dance, Cuba: Salsa, Russia: Ballet, Switzerland: Traditional Folk Dance, Argentina: Tango, Japanese: Kabuki, Austria: Viennese Waltz and MORE! Happy Harvest - Learn to make snacks from healthy produce. Learn about healthy foods that are easy to make and yummy as well. Make, eat, repeat.

Kid Yoga - Stretch, turn, tumble, leap, jump, play through movement, musical interpretation, and more! Come join a class that will help prepare our world travelers for engaging with locals through movement and music. Session 1 & 2 - 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Session 1 & 2 - 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Lego Coding Express - Inspire early learners to explore early coding concepts such as sequencing, looping, and conditional coding, while developing problem-solving skills, critical thinking, collabora-tion, and social and emotional skills. Session 1 - 9:35 - 10:35 a.m. Session 2 - 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.

STAR Action – Do you love to act and sing? Do you want to be a star? Work with other students to put on scenes from your favorite books, stories, and movies. Work on memorization techniques, voice projection, fluency, and developing your character. Perform in small groups and for your class! Session 1 - 11:45 a.m. - 1:20 p.m. Session 2 - 9:35 - 10:35 a.m.

The Great Outdoors - Children need to get outside and play! This class is perfect. Students will play traditional games: Hopscotch, Hide and Seek, Kick the Can, Capture the Flag, Parachute, Red Light/Green Light, Four Square, Jump Rope, Double Dutch, Jacks, Marbles, Mother May I, Simon Says, Tag, Traffic Cop, Freeze Tag, and MORE! Kitchen Harvest - Learn to make yummy snacks!!! Given a bowl of ingredients, students will work in teams to come up with an original recipe. After preparing their dishes, “judges” will do a taste test and award the winning chefs! Everyone needs a tasty delicious snack! Session 1 - 10:40 - 11:40 a.m. Session 2 - 11:45 a.m. - 1:20 p.m.

Lego WeDo 2.0 - LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 Core Set is a hands-on STEM solution that combines the LEGO brick, classroom-friendly software, engaging standards-based projects, and a discovery-based approach. Designed with collaboration in mind, each Core Set supports two students, introducing them to computational thinking and engineering principles in a fun and engaging way. Session 1 - 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Session 1 - 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Kindergarten Classses: Kindergarten classes are designed for students who are five-years-old by December 31, 2021. Visit www.farmington.k12.mi.us for more information. Lunch: Lunch is NOT provided: Students staying for lunch will be required to bring a bag lunch with them.

Arrival & Departure: For your child’s safety, he/she must be picked up immediately after class. Please sign your child in and out daily. Students picked up after 3:45 p.m. will be charged the $18.50 daily drop-in fee for after care.

Cancellations: Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements will be canceled. You will be notified of cancellations or other program changes.
