Microsoft Word

• I used Microsoft Word throughout my production because it was available on all the devices I used to type up my work. I used it in the pre-production and post-production stages as it is easy to use and I knew how to it worked. • Examples: Script, Narrative structure and Genre research

Scribd

• Scribd is an online website which allows you to upload documents which can be embed onto a website, so documents are easy to read and scroll through. I used this website to embed most of my work that was typed up onto Microsoft word.

Microsoft PowerPoint

• Microsoft PowerPoint was used to show slideshows in a simple way.• It was easier to use and it was not as distracting as using something like Prezi. It’s a good way of giving off information. • I used PowerPoint to present the my equipment lists and storyboard, as they are both documents which contain a big amount of useful information.

Outlook

• Outlook was the email service that I used throughout my production. It allowed me to send myself work, which I would then do in school and its simple to connect with teachers as most of them have outlook as well.• Easy to use, very simple in presentation and effective.

Final Cut Pro

• I used Final Cut Pro to edit my production together. It was a fairly new program to me, though I have had some experience of using it from editing the Preliminary Task, which I edited with the help of two other students. • It was tricky to use at first but once I got the hang of it, it became easier. I believed it produced a better outcome than other editing programs we had used in the past such as iMovie.

PowToon

• I used PowToon as an alternative to PowerPoint as it's more interactive and interesting to look at and read. • It uses more animated images and text, which in return, makes it more exciting to watch and allowed for background music. I used this for the first time and the tutorial made it simple to use. I used it for Cast notes as it is a good way to introduce the people acting in my sequence.

Prezi

• Prezi was another alternative to PowerPoint and PowToon.• It allowed for smoother transitions and there was more freedom with how you presented each slide, for example, you could create routes and change box shapes and add images etc.• Although it was slightly complicated at first it was easy to pick up and was used for many pieces of my coursework, like the meeting notes and the pitch.

Blogger

• Blogger was used a lot by me, because it is easy to show off your work on your page and it allows for more creative freedom when it comes to creating the style and look. • It was also faster and made more sense for a first time user than other websites, such as Tumbler for instance.  

Soundcloud

• I used Soundcloud as it is a good way to gather different songs which I may use in my production. • It is easy to use once you create your account. • I used it to find one or two sound effects for my production as well.

Twitter

• I used Twitter as a way to communicate between me and people who I communicated with on the website. • I also used it to promote my production and my Production Company as it's a popular social networking site that's used frequently by our Target Audience (15-30).

Facebook

• I used Facebook to send photos of my project to myself, for example if if a picture was taken on my phone, I could upload it to Facebook and copy and paste it onto a word document. • It is a good way of communicating as I use this social networking site often.
