Description of Combined Cycle Power
Plant 750 MWThe Combined Cycle Plant project will be executed by Multi contracts and
purchase orders include the following packages:
1. Site Services: (Contract Package)
Designing, Fabrication, Furnishing and Installing construction buildings, construction power,
Potable water system and Sewage system for construction and complete site preparation to be
ready for civil constructions.
2. Civil Works: (Contract Package)
Fabrication, Furnishing and Installing providing associated services for piling, foundation,
buildings, structure steel, intake and discharge structures for circulating water system, underground
piping, chimneys, and access roads for the project.
3. Environmental Monitoring: (Contract Package)
Designing, Fabrication, Furnishing, Delivery, Installing, start up and Commissioning, and Testing
the required environmental Monitoring Station with all associated electrical instrumentation
equipment. 4

Designing, fabrication, delivery, Installing, start up and commissioning of indoor gas insulated
switchyard “GIS” or outdoor air insulated switchgear “AIS” including the building construction and
the connection between the main transformers and the switchyard, protection and communication,
control systems and all related civil, mechanical, electrical works required for complete operational
system.
5. Combustion Turbine Generators: (Contract Package)
Design, furnish, install, test, and commission of two CTGs 250 MW each and auxiliaries, complete
with bypass dampers and exhaust stacks, including all mechanical and electrical works required for a
complete simple cycle operational system. The Turbine is driving a 50 Hz electric generator.
6. Heat Recovery Steam Generator: (Contract Package)
Design, fabricate, shop test, supply, install, test, start-up, commission and put into the operation two
triple pressure, un-fired heat recovery steam generators complete with exhaust stacks.

Design, furnish, fabricate, delivery, install, test, start-up and commission for one Steam Turbine
Generator 250 MW nominal Output, 3 cylinders, exhausting to a single pass water cooled
condenser. The Turbine is driving a 50 Hz electric generator.
8. Yard Tanks: (Contract Package)
Designing, Furnishing, Testing and Installing of Demineralized water tank/ condensate storage
tank, Mazout oil (No.6) storage tanks, solar oil (No.2) storage tank and water treatment tanks.
9. Wrap Up Insurance: (Contract Package)
Provision of insurance during the construction, start up, testing and commission construction
period up to the end of warranty period.
10. Pumps & Drives: (Purchase Order)
Designing, Furnishing, Shop testing, Delivery, Supervision of erection and technical services for
erection and commissioning of turbine or motor driven boiler feed pumps, condensate pumps,
circulating water pumps, and service water pumps.

Design, equipment supply to the site, install, commission, and test for the following
water and waste water treatment systems complete with all associated electricalinstrumentation and associated piping and valves:• Demineralized Water System• Chemical Feed System• Waste Water Treatment System
12. Critical Piping & Valves: (Purchase Order)
Fabricate and supply critical piping, valves, supports, thermo wells, thermocouples and
flow elements for critical piping systems (main steam, cold reheat, hot reheat, and feedwater systems).
13. Power Transformers: (Purchase Order)Designing, Furnishing, Shop testing, Delivery, Supervision of erection and technicalservices for erection and commissioning of main power transformers, unit auxiliarytransformers and start-up transformers (if required). Generator Circuit breakers andisophase buses for connection between the Generator and the transformers.

Designing, Furnishing, Shop testing, Delivery, Supervision of erection and technical services for
erection and commissioning of DCS, Operator and Auxiliary control consoles, Auxiliary control
devices and data high way cables and a complete simulator for owner personnel operational training.
15. Electrical Equipment / Instrument Installation: (Contract Package)
Designing, Fabrication, Furnishing, Delivery, Installing, start up and Commissioning and Testing of
DC equipment, electrical distribution panels, relay panels, UPS equipment, medium, low voltage
and control cables, cable trays, conduits and other miscellaneous electrical and instrumentation
equipment.
Receive at site, store, install, test, maintain, and place into successful operation the electrical and
instrumentation equipment furnished by owner (main and unit auxiliary transformers, generator
circuit breakers, isophase bus, medium and low voltage switchgear, M.C.Cs, distributed control
system, control panels, etc).

Designing, Fabrication, Furnishing, Delivery, Installing, start up and Commissioning and Testing of
fire water suppression system, HVAC system, small bore piping, valves, pipe supports and
hydrogen generation system.
Furnishing, Delivery, Installing, start up and Commissioning and Testing of diesel driven fire
pump, main motor driven fire pump, jockey pump, air compressors, closed cooling water heat
exchangers, closed cooling water pumps, diesel generator unit, sampling system, non critical large
bore piping, valves, and shop fabricated tanks.
Receive at site, store, install, maintain and test the miscellaneous mechanical equipment designed
and furnished by owner (Critical piping and their supports, Critical valves, desalination plant, Heat
exchangers and pumps & drivers etc).
17. Medium and Low Voltage Switchgear: (Purchase Order)
Designing, Furnishing, Shop testing, Delivery, Supervision of erection and technical services for
erection and commissioning of (6.3 KV) Medium voltage switchgears, low voltage Switchgears and
motor control centers.
18. Offshore Facility (if required): (Contract Package)
Supply and install offshore intake and discharge facilities including offshore piping, dredging and
supporting structures.

Fabrication, Furnishing and Installing providing associated services for a housing residential
colony.
20. Engineering Services:
Perform the professional services of the project management, engineering, design, procurement of
the plant packages and their balance of plant. The main activities are as follows:
– Prepare the bid packages
– Evaluate the bid document and negotiate the successful bidder.
– Prepare the contracts document.
– Preliminary and Final design for civil activities and the balance of plant.
– Manage and coordinate the interfaces between contractors.
– Supervise the construction works and perform the commissioning start up, and test up to handling
over the project.

• A consortium of two or more, local or foreign partners with either a Local or
Foreign Contractor as the Lead Partner of the Consortium. All partners shall be
jointly and severally liable

• One industrial Project of similar complexity during the last 10 years.
• Three different locations, one of which is outside contractor’s country of origin
(for foreign contractors).
• Tenderer executed projects as Main contractor/partner of a consortium.
• Projects value = USD 30 million.
• Projects must have been completed in a duration not exceeding 48 months
