PDP Goal 1 Enhance cooperative work and communication skills with my MST

WEEK ONESee who are my peers and to think who is going to be my MST.

Did I meet everyone and introduced myself to them?

At this week I will get to know the staff in all of the departments.

I will be able to accomplish this goal and it’s realistic because I will be meeting my peers, staff and choose my MST.

I will implement this strategy in one week

At my first day I attended from 8AM and we have met our supervisor Mr. David and he have discussed some of the important things with us and we have a tour on all of the department to have an idea on which department to choose.

WEEK TWOMeet up with my MST and get to know her more.

Have I chosen the most suitable department for me?Choosing the department that I’m interested in the most.

The second week is where we will choose the department that we want to work in and meet up with our MST and get to know her more.

I am going to meet my MST for sure and of course we will be talking to each other which will allow me to know more about her.

This strategy will take a week.

After choosing the department that I wanted to work on, I meet up with my MST and we talked about the responsibilities in this department and she talked a bit about herself.

WEEK THREEStart to work with her and finish my duties.

What are their duties in this department?What can I help them with?Thinking about helping my MST.

Third week is where I’m going to meet my MST and start to work with her and learn new things from my experience in the ILC department.

This is a realistic goal that will be accomplished during this week because we have to start working together.

Working and finishing my duties will actually will start from this week till the last week of TP.

During this period of time I learned many new things by working in this department like learning how to use the 3D printer and the leap motion. My MST is a helpful

person who always talks to me and asks me if I need any help as I also ask her and try to help her with the work that she have.

WEEK FOURAsk her if I needed to know anything or needed any help.

Can she help me and answer my questions?Does she need any help with her work where I can help?

At this point I must have to ask her about things that I need help with and talk to her about things I want to know more about

I will definitely have some questions about the work that my MST will ask me to do so this will be accomplished.

This strategy will be implemented starting from week three till week six.

Asking my MST to help me if I need help or to give me that time I needed to work on my assignments really builds a strong relationship between us where we both understood each other.

WEEK FIVEGet comfortable with my MST.

Am I feeling good and satisfied with my relationship with her?

As we will reach week five I sure will be comfortable with the place and the people working with me.

After all these weeks I will surely be comfortable talking with my MST and work with her.

This will take one day to stop and ask myself this question.

By asking myself this question and answering it I was able to measure the progress and I think that I have accomplished this goal in week 5.

Will I be able to maintain a good relationship with my MST even after the TP?

Till the end I will try to keep the good relationship with my MST and the others and will stay in touch with her even after the TP.

I think that I will be able to maintain this great relationship with her and the others after getting along with them for 5 weeks.

This strategy will take more that the last week because I’m planning to visit my MST whenever I have free time to say hello not to feel stranger the next time we meet.

After the TP I visited my MST three times and had a chat with her.

WEEK ONEGet to know the place

What are the departments there and where is our office?

I will go around with my friends to explore the place and to see where are the workshops done.

This will be an achievable goal because I have the freedom to explore the place.

This is going to take one week.

At my first week they have took us on a tour in all of the departments and the areas of the center.I have explored some of the places by myself as well.

WEEK TWOAttend some workshops

When is there a workshop?How can I attend these workshops?

Sign up and attend the workshops to learn and gain some presentation skills by observing.

It will be a useful goal that focuses on the results of developing my presentation skills by observing others present.

This strategy will take two or three weeks where I attend one workshop a week.

At this week I attended a workshop that was presented by one of the ILC officers and I gained many presentation skills by watching her present.

WEEK THREEAttend more workshops

Is there workshops every week?Will I have time to attend them?

Enhance my skills by observing more and asking the presenters about some useful tips about presenting.

This one is the same as the previous one because I will observe more workshops and will ask questions to benefit more.

At the rest of the weeks I attended two workshops where I observed and learned a lot about presenting skills and strategies by asking and watching carefully.

I’m going to tell my MST that I want to test myself by making a workshop by myself and I will see if she will give the freedom to choose a topic or she is going to choose for me.

Talking with my MST is totally an achievable goal where I will know if I’m allowed to make a workshop and decide what is it g0ing to be about.

This will take a day to meet up and talk about it.

I have chosen a day and met my MST and talked to her about me willing to make a workshop and she liked the idea and welcomed it but, she gave me a topic which is 3D printing and I have no other choice than doing it.

One day (Monday) My workshop was on Monday at 10:00 am and I was prepared for it and then the girls started to come one after another.My MCT Dr. Mindy and my MST have attended the workshop also.It went well overall but, I think that I still need some more practice on developing my presenting skills.

At the first week I’m going to ask about the timings and to see their daily routines in the ILC.

This goal can be accomplished by asking the supervisor about the information that I want to know.

This is going to take one day.

On our first day of the TP we meet our supervisor and we had a tour on the departments .After that we have a chat about the timings and we all agreed on attending on 8:00am and leaving on 3:00 pm and they said that we

will have some time for us to finish our assignments.

At my second week I’m going to organize my time by making a schedule.

It’s attainable because I can easily make a schedule with all of my work written in it.

I met with my MST twice and talked about me wanting to organize my time and we made a schedule of the duties that I have and the time that I have to work on my assignments.

On the third week I will start following my plans that are written in my schedule.

Following the schedule is an easy thing to do so this goal is achievable.

This strategy will take two weeks.

After creating my schedules I started to follow the step by step and this helped me to finish my work on time.

At this point I’m going to stop using the schedule and use my own memory and my time management skills that I have gained while using the schedule to make my work at time and not forgetting anything.

I will be able to implement this strategy after using the schedule strategy and getting used to make plans and follow them.

On my last two weeks I decided to forget about the schedule and started on planning on in my mind and organize my time perfectly during this period of time so, I think that I have learned and developed my time
