PayPal setupYou need to have a business PayPal Account to receive payments through the system.

Granting SoftWorks permission to make API calls on your behalf.Log onto PayPal and On you “My Account” tab select the “Profile” menu and then select the “My Selling Tools” menu item.

On the “My Selling Tools” page click on the “Update” link on the “API access” line.

This will bring up the API Access page.

Click on the “Add or Edit API permissions” link. If you have not added API permissions for any third parties before, this will bring up the “Add New Third Party Permissions” page. If you have previously added API Permissions for third parties then it will bring up the list of those third parties as well as an “Add” button which you will want to click to bring up the “Add New Third Party Permissions” page.

On this page you will need to fill in the “Third Party Permission Username” field with “PayPalDev_api1.SoftWorksSystems.com” and click on the “Lookup” button.

This will bring up a list of “Available Permissions”.

You must select the “Issue a refund for a specific transaction” and “Process your customers credit or debit card payments” permissions and then click on the “Add” button. This will give SoftWorks the permissions it needs to handle PayPal transactions through our ePay System.
