What Do We Do?

• Go to 6 Classrooms at Leal School in Urbana– 1 2nd Grade Room

– 2 3rd Grade Rooms

– 3 4th Grade Rooms

• Teach fun and interesting projects– Get kids excited about Science and Engineering

– First Semester: 1-2 Week Projects

– Second Semester: Larger EOH Project followed by 1-2 Week Projects

Football Game Volunteering

• What?

• Where?

• When?

• Why?

• How?

• Gate-keepers & Bag-checkers at home football games

• Memorial Stadium– Meet: Southeast corner

– Work: Usually Portal 2 on West side

• Saturdays: meet 3 hours prior to kick-off

• We need money!– So that we can provide supplies for more

interesting projects for the kids

• Wait for my emails one week prior to each game and reply ASAP!

How to get involved?

• Write down which days of the week you would be able to visit Leal

– 2nd Grade: Day TBD, 2-3pm

– 3rd Grade: Monday and Wednesday, 10am-11am

– 4th Grade: Tuesday and Thursday, 9am-10am

Wednesday, 1-2pm

• Come to meeting next week (same time and place) to go through volunteer training!
