$$The Travancore-cochin chemicals limited (TCC), a Government of Kerala

Undertaking, is a pioneer in the field of manufacturing Caustic soda and

chlorine products hich are !asic industrial chemicals" #resentl$ TCC has an

installed capacit$ to produce 1%& 'T# caustic soda, %2 'T# liuid

chlorine, *&+ 'T# *2 commercial C. acid and /& 'T# sodium

h$pochlorite"

$%0or the production of caustic soda TCC emplo$s mem!rane cell technolog$hich is considered to !e the most environment friendl$ technolog$ availa!le"

$+The Travancore-cochin chemicals limited (TCC) is situated at Ud$ogamandal

in Cochin ndustrial !elt" The factor$ and registered office is located 2+Km

from Kochi nternational irport, 1& Km from 3rnakulam 4aila$ station and

15 km from 6allarpadam terminal"

$;The compan$ as originall$ started as Travancore 7 'ettur Chemical Co" in

18/8 (a partnership !eteen 0CT and 'ettur Chemical 7 ndustrial

Corporation .td) during the time of 9eshasa$ee :rothers ith 2+ 'T causticsoda per da$ production capacit$" .ater the Government of Travancore Cochin

acuired the Compan$ and thus in 18;+ it !ecame a Government undertaking

under the name

These electrol$sers ill !e in operation throughout the $ear e>cept during shut

don due to plant interruption or due to an$ unforeseen constraints like

marketing ?ra materials"

#art of the % collected in the holder is consumed for the production of Cland the !alance % is used for firing in furnace" @ith some changes in the

product mi>, %can !e made availa!le for direct selling to other consumers for

!etter realiAation" t is therefore, this 3B is intended for utiliAing the availa!le

e>cess 2"

%$" TCC seeks an 3>pression of nterest (3B) from reputed parties, 0irms, oint

venture ? consortium arrangements, ho have the reuisite e>perience and

technical ? financial capa!ilities- either separatel$ or together to !u$ $drogen

Gas" n case of D6?Consortium arrangements, each part$ shall !e ointl$ and

severall$ lia!le to TCC for an$ and all o!ligations arising in a contract

pursuant to this 3B"

%%" s an initiative for developing h$drogen-!ased economic opportunities,

especiall$ to e>plore thepotential opportunit$ for non-fuel use of h$drogen,

TCC plans to sell-off availa!le h$drogen to outside parties "This 3B is

invited for draing the availa!le %from our 2gas holder kept at a pressure

of 2&+ mm %Bg and is having a purit$ of 88"8 (!$ 6olume) (:atter$ limit)"

#art$, at their on cost has to install necessar$ facilit$ ith all safet$ s$stems

to dra the availa!le %"

%+" The uantit$ of %availa!le at present for sale is 1&+++ E'+per da$ (appro>")

and can !e dran at a rate in the range from +-1+++ E' +?hr" %ill not !e

availa!le during plant interruption, during shut don and start-up" #art$ has to

incorporate all necessar$ safet$ s$stems and o!tain the statutor$ reuirements"

For this EOI TCC is looking for,

area of %handling and utiliAation and has nfrastructure for Gas !ased

facilities, Gas istri!ution Eetorking, Gas 'arketing capa!ilities etc" and are

interested in off-taking %gas continuousl$ from 3lectrol$sers installed at

our orks"

+%"3>pressions of interest from suita!l$ ualified and e>perienced

organiAations, industr$ groups, or partnership firms ho can !u$ and handle

the availa!le h$drogen from our mem!rane cell 3lectrol$sers for an$ credi!le

proect focused on enhancing the !eneficial use of pure h$drogen"
