I could not be prouder to see so many making Honor Roll, keeping up your GPAs and all the while staying very acve with the program. Your engagement and commitment to EOF did not go unnoced; and seeing so many of you here in the office day in and day out reassured us of that. For our first year scholars, you were one heck of a new class, and we are so excited to see what you will have in store for us during the 2015-2016 aca- demic year. To all of returning stu- dents, thank you for connecng so well with our new class in leadership and guidance. You not only connued to model your strong academic ethics, but was willing to embrace the new freshman. Student connecons are some of the best ways to stay en- gaged, in addion to all of the other support services EOF offers. If this year was not your strongest, it is okay. That is what we are here for; do not get discouraged, we will get it done next year. Stay the course, con- nect with your EOF counselor this summer, and strategize to start the academic year beer. You can always change and make adjustments with the right guidance. Ulize all of our support services and as I always say, you will see results!!! For all of our scholars taking summer sessions, remember these are acceler- ated courses that need your undivided aenon and they will move very quickly through the material. Use the EOF office as a place for studying, do- ing your assignments, and to also keep your EOF counselor up to date. We will be checking up on your progress and will be sending summer progress re- ports, so stay in touch. Lastly, as many of you know, I will be going on maternity leave starng July 10 and will be returning tentavely the last week of September. You may not see me at the beginning of the term, but I will be back shortly. In the mean- me, do not hesitate to work with your EOF counselor directly, stay in touch, and make those appointments early for the Fall semester. I hope to see you all upon my return. For now, I will sll be here up unl July, so if you need assistance, my door is open. All the very best in enjoying your sum- mer. Do take me for yourself and get some well-deserved rest. You Made It! Another Academic

Year Behind Us! Dear EOF Scholars,

I would like to com-mend you on an-

other very successful academic year. I can’t believe how fast it went, and all we accomplished! I could not be prouder to see so many making Honor Roll, keeping up your GPAs and all the while staying very active with the program. Your engagement and commitment to EOF did not go unnoticed; and seeing so many of you here in the office day in and day out reassured us of that.

For our first year scholars, you were one heck of a new class, and we are so excited to see what you will have in store for us

during the 2015-2016 aca-demic year. To all of returning stu-dents, thank you for connecting so well with our new class in leadership and guidance. You not only continued to model your strong academic ethics, but was willing to embrace the new

freshman. Student connections are some of the best ways to stay en-gaged, in addition to all of the other support services EOF offers.

If this year was not your strongest, it is okay. That is what we are here for; do not get discouraged, we will get it done next year. Stay the course, con-nect with your EOF counselor this summer, and strategize to start the academic year better. You can always change and make adjustments with the right guidance. Utilize all of our support services and as I always say, you will see results!!!

For all of our scholars taking summer sessions, remember these are acceler-ated courses that need your undivided attention and they will move very quickly through the material. Use the EOF office as a place for studying, do-ing your assignments, and to also keep your EOF counselor up to date. We will be checking up on your progress and will be sending summer progress re-ports, so stay in touch.

Lastly, as many of you know, I will be going on maternity leave starting July 10 and will be returning tentatively the last week of September. You may not see me at the beginning of the term, but I will be back shortly. In the mean-time, do not hesitate to work with your EOF counselor directly, stay in touch, and make those appointments early for the Fall semester. I hope to see you all upon my return. For now, I will still be here up until July, so if you need assistance, my door is open.

All the very best in enjoying your sum-mer. Do take time for yourself and get some well-deserved

rest. This is also very important for a healthy college and life balance.

Sincerely,

Pamela Marcenaro, EOF Director

EOF Student Alliance Luncheon—Forte Restaurant

EOF Student Alliance—News M any EOF students

were very helpful this year in covering the 6 hours selling tickets at the April 23, Tricky Tray, which was a re-sounding success this year! EOF raised $1200. 00 which is the most ever raised since EOF started utilizing a tricky tray for

their annual fundraiser. This year staff from other depart-

ments also helped Edie cover the many hours selling tickets and the cam-pus community as a whole was very generous in par-ticipating in this special event. We appreciate it!

Kudos to all who donated, helped wrap baskets, bought tickets and volun-teered!

Finally, the Alliance had

their special end-of-the-year luncheon on Tues, May 12, at the nearby Forte’s Italian Restaurant in Randolph. Eight stu-dents and several staff members attended. We announced our recipient of the 2015 Alliance Leader-ship Award which went to the Alliance President, Kassandra Vargas. Kas-sandra deserves a special thank you for helping us

stay afloat this semes-ter after losing our previous president.

Also we appreciate all the hard work of the new EOF officers, many of whom are freshmen. This was a banner year for all of our community service pro-jects! We appreciate their willingness to take time to support EOF initiatives that helps the community and those less fortunate, such as UNICEF, Cops n’ Kids and the Teddy Bear drive. All these events raised rec-ord amounts!

As we are preparing for the summer EOF orienta-

tion and bringing our new EOF Pre-freshmen aboard, we invite current EOF stu-

dents to volunteer to be a part of this exciting time. You can participate on the Student Panel or in a short skit about True Colors. Get a jump on your community service hours for fall, meet our new students and have fun! See Edie Nelson for more details.
