Hatfield Indonesia is a joint venture with Hatfield Consultants in Canada, and we are recognized for providing innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges. Since its founding in 1990, Hatfield Indonesia (formally PT Hatfindo Prima) has implemented over 1000 projects for private and public sector clients throughout the Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Our office is located in Bogor, West Java, which is well known as a base for environmental research and learning.
In Canada, our head office is in North Vancouver, with other offices in Lao PDR, Botswana (Africa), Thailand and Chile. OUR APPROACH
PARTICIPATORY PROCESSESWe collaborate with local companies and universities to ensure local
expertise is used, and consult with local communities and governments to
ensure optimal project outcomes. Using participatory processes, including
focus groups, workshops and interviews, we ensure that stakeholder input is
incorporated throughout project design, development and implementation.
Sustainability is promoted through capacity development and awareness raising
and outreach programs.
Hatfield Indonesia has implemented a number of communication programs to
communicate project results to a wide variety of stakeholders. Programs have
included designing and developing multi-media tools, project websites and
outreach materials and publications. Hatfield Indonesia has also developed and
implemented corporate social responsibility. Community mapping is used to
provide a unique perspective and to ensure the active involvement of local
communities in developing spatial plans, land-use plans and environmental
management strategies.
CAPACITY DEvELOPMENT AND SUSTAINABILITYCapacity development and training are integral to all of our work. We design and deliver customized training programs, from individualized classroom sessions to

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN
Hatfield Indonesia has a Health and Safety Plan that meets or exceeds standards for our industry.
We have continually expanded and refined corporate procedures for Health and Safety Management (HSM) to provide all employees a safe and healthy work environment.
We have developed and implemented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions for our extensive field programs in Indonesia.
Our Quality Management Plan (QMP) is divided into eight sections, which correspond to the Quality Management System sections of ISO 9001: 2008. The QMP defines our personnel’s levels of authority, inter-relationships, and responsibilities. It also provides procedures or references for all Quality Management System activities to ensure compliance with the standard’s requirements.
Internally, the QMP guides our employees through the various requirements of the ISO 9001 framework to ensure client satisfaction, foster continuous improvement, and promote an empowered work force.
