Founded in 1988, the Quartet is now widely renowned as one of the most exciting string quartets on the international chamber music scene. The first prize at the ARD Munich International Competition in 1991 won the quartet great critical acclaim and invitations to concerts in major venues on all continents. The Quartet is dedicated to contemporary music and works by the classical moderns. Often devising its own thematic cycles (Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, the contemporaries), the Quartet was also one of the initiators of the 1996 and 1997 Beethoven Quartet Cycle offered jointly with five other quartets as a sign of European friendship in more than 15 European cities.

The deep and sonorous voices of the Russian Patriarchate Choir have brought the undiscovered music of the Russian Orthodox Church and folk music of their native land to the ears of modern audiences. The profoundly spiritual rendition of the authentic sound of Russia from a bygone era places the choir beyond the traditional boundaries of similar vocal ensembles. An official choir of the Moscow Patriarchate since 1998, the emphatic performances and the fine male voices of the choir create an atmosphere of intense devotion, the ardour inspired by commitment to the liturgy of the Moscow Patriarchate. The Choir’s founder and Artistic Director, Anatoly Grindenko is a musicologist, theologian, choirmaster, as well as an acknowledged viola da gamba player and acclaimed old music performer. Under Grindenko, the Choir has toured across Europe and Scandinavia, Israel and Japan.
