A. Requirements for participants arriving from a Green Country

Before booking your trip to attend an event in Abu Dhabi, check the status of your country on the Visit Abu Dhabi Website.

Vaccinated visitors• PCR test is required on arrival and on

day 6, if staying in Abu Dhabi• No quarantine is required

Non-vaccinated visitors (will not be allowed to enter the event)• PCR test is required on arrival and on day 6 & day 9,

Before boarding to Abu Dhabi, both vaccinated & unvaccinated travellers, must present a negative PCR test result from within 48 hours of departure

Complete the registration arrival form

Download AlHosn app and register your account using the UID that you received earlier and your phone number

You will receive an OTP to complete the registration on AlHosn App

Arrivals coming from Green and Red countries:

(The PCR test is free for COVID-19 close contacts and those coming from red countries, as for those coming from green countries, a fee of AED65 applies for the PCR test and they can go directly on the specified day without an appointment or a movement permit)

Upon completion of the specified quarantine period with a negative result

According to the updated procedures, those vaccinated and participants in a clinical trial can enter Abu Dhabi if they have green pass and an active E or star icon on Alhosn app. A PCR test is required to show the E/star icon, which remains active for 7 days.

No further testing after entering Abu Dhabi is required for those vaccinated and participants in a clinical trial with green pass and an active E or star icon on Alhosn if remaining in the emirate. Visitors from abroad should also follow the relevant travel protocol.

The current testing procedures for those unvaccinated to enter the emirate remains the same. This requires a PCR test within 48 hours of entry or a DPI test within 24 hours of entry, as well as multiple additional tests if remaining in the emirate.

FAQs

Q: NCEMA has issued an announcement that all event participants need to be vaccinated. Does this apply now?

A: Yes, it does apply effectively from August 20th. The Department of Culture and Tourism has issued a circular dated on August 15th to confirm this.

Q: What is the capacity of events, restaurants and weddings that currently apply in Abu Dhabi?

A: Events in Abu Dhabi are operating at 60% capacity of the venue. Restaurant are operating at 80% capacity with a maximum of 10 pax per table. While, weddings are capped at 60% with a maximum of 100 pax to attend.

Q: If a participant arrives with an expired PCR test, what is the protocol in this case?

A: The participant will be denied access but directed to our on-site PCR testing facility to do a rapid PCR test.

Q: Does ADNEC accept a DPI test result?

A: No, DPI test results are not accepted. Only negative PCR tests are accepted with 48 hours validity.

Q: What shall we do when we have a participant who feels unwell in the venue?

A: Please notify a member of ADNEC staff or security immediately.

Q: How much does a PCR test cost at ADNEC?

A: The cost for the regular test is 50AED with the result relayed within 24 hours and fast track tests at 300 AED with results relayed within 4 hours.
